Freedom Finding Form
Journeys of movement & meaning
Movement improvisation for creative self-expression
Two separate workshops:
19 September & 24 October - 10.30-5pm
Moor Imagination Centre, Buckfastleigh
£35 each (£30 if booked two weeks ahead)
All welcome (over 18). No previous experience needed.
The two workshops stand alone and will offer different material - but will complement each other, and if you attend both you will be able to build on your work in the first one.
We begin by finding our own way into more freedom in movement. From there, the movement finds its own form, until it can clearly express something of personal significance - perhaps showing us something about our selves, our depths, our world...
Each day offers a carefully structured and guided progression designed to support you to:
> find ease, aliveness and pleasure in the moving body
> build confidence in finding a flow of free, authentic movement
> develop clarity of form and expression
> connect with imagination and depth
> allow meaning and insight to emerge
> support and connect with others.
"Alex’s sense of play and curiosity is matched by a depth of personal practice, experience and eloquence - delightfully collaborative and exploratory."
"Joyful and inspiring....As a long-term Amerta Movement practitioner and facilitator, I am very happy to recommend Alex's beautiful, finely tuned movement work."
This autumn I am also offering a weekly small closed group in October - November.
